Angela began her practice of law representing disabled claimants for the New Orleans office of the law firm of Barkan + Neff, she represented claimants in Louisiana, Ohio and Florida. From there she went on to represent abused and neglected children for the State of Louisiana where she also represented children in their quest for disability benefits after they came into the custody of the state especially Zebley cases.
Angela then went on to work at the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review for 10 years as an Attorney-Advisor writing disability decisions for Administrative Law Judges in both the New Orleans downtown office and the Houston downtown office, each for five years. She is excited to once again represent disabled claimants and believes strongly in Heard & Smith’s goal of “helping to fix broken lives.”
