Rebecca Gonzales
The daughter of two immigrant health professionals, Rebecca Gonzales was born and raised in Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude with distinction in English and honors in the liberal arts from The Ohio State University. After earning her bachelor's degree, Rebecca worked for over four years as a nonpartisan fellow and research associate for the Ohio legislature drafting legislation and conducting research in health and human services issues.
Rebecca earned her juris doctor degree with a certificate in children studies from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While in law school, she served as a staff member and symposium co-chair for The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. Rebecca was admitted to the State Bar of Ohio in 2007.
Rebecca's legal career began as a legal aid attorney in southeastern Ohio where she managed a medical/legal partnership that coordinated legal issue education and services for patients of a local family health clinic. She began practicing Social Security Disability Law in 2010 and has represented thousands of clients around the country in obtaining disability benefits, including clients in North Carolina, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, and Nevada.
Rebecca enjoys volunteering in her community, exploring the beautiful parks and landscapes of North Carolina, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
