Sonya Rogers
Sonya J. Rogers was born in White Plains, NY. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Manhattanville College and her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 1991.
Prior to arriving in Texas in 1997, Sonya practiced law in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands where she clerked for the Presiding Judge of the Territorial Court and worked for a small Boutique law firm. After leaving the Virgin Islands, Sonya lived in Miami, Florida, where she volunteered at Greater Legal Services of Miami while studying for the Bar in Florida. After passing the bar, she worked for a local firm. Upon arriving in Houston, Texas, Sonya worked at a bankruptcy firm before opening her own bankruptcy practice. Sonya was also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Phoenix, where she taught classes focusing on law. Eventually, she made her way to Social Security Disability law where she believes she has found her passion representing hundreds of clients across the country.
Sonya is a member of the Florida State Bar and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR).
Sonya currently resides in Montgomery, TX with her fiance, Greg and her two adult children, Kayla and Tyler.
